I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
